Seattle Here I Come....

I am currently at the airport waiting to board my flight to Denver and then on to my final destination, Seattle...It is the last trade show of the year.  The last time I am teaching these classes woohoo!!! I loved all the classes this year, but after teaching them A LOT I am ready for some new ones!  We already have new classes in the works for next year and I will be heading back to Seattle in a few weeks to learn them and get ready for next year.  There is no rest I tell you, no rest.  Since I have been home though, I have been able to play a little bit with some new papers...

I have been playing with a new paper line we have coming out called "Andrew Avenue" and I LOVE IT!!! The color combos are great and very versatile.  Here is another one....

Happy Election Day

for those of you that are voting!  There are no elections going on here where I live so no voting today for me.  If you do live where elections are taking place, make sure to get out there and vote, because each vote really does make a difference....okay, I am stepping off the horse now.  I have been feeling pretty creative these past few days and have been able to get some crafting done...

This layout was created using my October kit from Scrapbook Obsessions which featured October Afternoon products.  

A layout using the new paper line from Quick Quotes "My Michelle"...I went a little crazy with all the G's but I love how it turned out.  The large G by the photo was plain chipboard that I inked with the Tahiti PowderPuff chalk and then covered with the Rock Candy Crackle paint from Ranger...

A gift card holder using Andrew Avenue paper and a vellum Quote from Quick Quotes.  The butterfly was a plain chipboard embellishment that I sprayed with a few colors of glimmer mist.  

IT is Tuesday and that means BIGGEST LOSER NIGHT!  It is an event at our house and it is getting pretty exciting now that the number of contestents is low...the bad thing is that it gets to the point where I like everyone who is left.  Don't worry though, that hasn't happened quite yet, there is still one person that I really want them to send home!
 

 

November Already?

I absolutely cannot believe that it is already November!  This year is going so fast, and I just want it to slow down!  I had a great weekend AT HOME!  Yes, I woke up in my own bed this weekend (which was really weird!) and my husband kept saying "thanks for visiting us this weekend".  We were very busy with it being Halloween and all.  Forgive me for saying this out loud, but I do not like Halloween, it is one of my least favorite "Holidays" to celebrate...but I do (barely) for the kids...

as usual, tears were shed over the costume because we didn't get it from the right store (which means the store she had in mind).  I have a really hard time going all out for an outfit that will be worn once (especially now that she is older!).  In the end though, it all worked out and Rhyan was very excited about how she looked.

Chase stayed in and gave out Candy, and last minute decided to dress up as a football girl.  We carved a pumpkin

(Sorry for the blurry pic, it was the clearest we got!)This is a pumkin that was given to us by our dear friends the Calverts...we went on the great pumpkin search and came up empty handed...when I say search what I really mean is Five Grocery stores, one hardware store and a pumkin patch that was closing up as we were driving by...we carved both sides which made a shadow on the wall, it was pretty cool.  I even made a Halloween card...

I used the new Andrew Avenue paper from Quick Quotes, A basic Grey sticker and some old Daisy D's stickers I had in my stash...I finished it up with stickles! 
 
 
 

Recovered...for now.

Super busy few weeks, left California, went to Tulsa, then to Valley Forge.   I have been home for just about 48 hours and think that I have finally caught up on my sleep.  Now, tomorrow I hope to upload photos from all the events to Facebook under the Quick Quotes Scrapbooking Company.  I have been working on it, but my darn computer keeps shutting off in mid upload!!! UGH.  Tomorrow is the day to get it all done though, I can feel it...While I have been travelling life goes on, Chuck has competed in a 10k at Disney and a 5k Breast Cancer run (as did Chase!), Rhyan has been doing great in School, and Chase has been preparing for a concert which was tonight.  It was a wonderful show and all of the kids did a great job.  We still have costumes and a pumpkin to acquire before the weekend...this is one of my least favorite times of the year.  When I was younger, I was always (and I do mean several years in a row!) grounded and couldn't go Trick or Treating or dress up in costume and I believe this is the reason for my dislike of the Halloween season.  The kids love it though, so I need to just suck it up and get through.

In California

I have been in California since Wednesday, when we went on a VIP tour of the Warner Bros Studio....So fun.  We are in Ontario for work, but went back to Burbank today to be in the audience of Ellen!!!! I had so much fun and it airs tomorrow so tune in and watch!  The guests were Jason Bateman and Toby Keith and Judy Shephard was also on the show talking about her son's death 11 years ago.  It was so much fun and I DANCED, Danced and Danced.  We were sitting right by the Dunk Tank so when you are watching, and the camera covers that area keep your eyes peeled

Washington Private Reserve

I had a great time this weekend in Washington state teaching at the Private Reserve.  We had over 100 ladies with us during the weekend and had an amazing time!  Here is the group photo from the event and I apologize, there is a big sun spot in the picture and Photoshop is not my strong suit....

The Great Wolf Lodge is a great venue, the only complaint I have is that they serve Sweet Potato Fries.  I CANNOT say no to sweet potato fries and had them three days in a row!  I definitely have to hit the gym hard this week to move them on out.  I am heading to Phoenix at the end of the week and hoping that tomorrow I will have some time to create with some of the new paper that I brought home with me this weekend....Andrew Avenue.

PRIVATE RESERVE WEEKEND

Since I am at an event this weekend for Quick Quotes I think I will share some new projects I have done using NEW PAPER...yep, new paper that will be release in January at the CHA trade show....

 

This layout is using the new paper line called "My Michelle" and I LOVE IT (and no, I am not partial to it, well maybe a little bit.)...It has a great color scheme to it and it is bright and fun.

 

This one is done using our new paper line called "Ode to Joy"....Joy is our graphic designer and DOES AN AMAZING job with all of our products, advertisement and any other graphicy thing we need (I know graphicy is not a work just go with me here).....This paper line is a combination of blacks, pinks and turquoise with some very elegant scrollwork mixed in.  REMEMBER if you are a member of Club Q you will be receiving these papers in a kit at some point (probably before they are available to the public!)

New Layouts to share

Sort of.  I have had these done for about three weeks but haven't had time to take pictures of them.  The weather wasn't cooperating a couple of days and then there were trips...time slips away and before you know it you have a child just about in high school but I digress.....I am a fan of sketches and inspiration pieces...every week on the Scrap-mart blog there is a sketch challenge and here is my take on one from a few weeks ago..

I used some new SassaFrass, American Crafts chipboard letters and there is even some Scenic Route Chipboard on there, all of which can be found at Scrap-mart as well.  In August we went to NH for a family trip and I scrapped a few photos from that as well

 

This is all product from a Piggy Tails Monthly kit (I believe it was July)...my daughter has been begging for a four wheeler of her own ever since this trip! I am writing this from the airport getting ready to head to Seattle Washington for our Private Reserve event that is going to be at the Great Wolf Lodge in Grand Mound Washington.  This is our second Private Reserve here and we are very excited to present the projects and give away a ton of PRIZES!!! We have three more left in Tulsa, Valley Forge and Phoenix and I hope to see some of you there!  On a side note, as some of you know I like to enjoy many things and occassionally I may buy a lottery ticket....well I bought a $1.00 scratch ticket on Tuesday and look what I won...

Just in case you can't see, it says WIN ALL and I won a total of $100!!!! What a great way to start the week!

Another weekend away

I just returned from a weekend away, but this time it was for pleasure (and a little bit of work!)  I took my two girls and my niece to South Carolina so that they could visit with my parents while I travelled a little bit further north to Spartanburg and a little big store called Scrapbook Creations where I taught a quick little class.  This is a must see store if you are ever in the area, she has everything, including a coffee and ice cream spot, YUMMY....the funny thing about this past weekend though is the fact that I didn't take a single photo.  NOT ONE.  There were many opportunities, meeting the new dogs, doing a puzzle with my mom and daughter, the grandkids making sun catchers, playing the Wii, Chase beating pappa at cribbage.  With all these opportunities not once did I pull out the camera, I just enjoyed the weekend.  I will say that It is amazing how quickly I have forgotten how much work a four year old is, and how much they like to talk just to hear themselves.  I did not forget how wonderful they are though!
